Employment Litigation Attorney

The Role

The attorney will manage a diverse employment litigation caseload involving matters such as:

• Wrongful termination

• Discrimination and harassment

• Retaliation and whistleblower claims

• Wage and hour disputes

• Other employment-related litigation

Key Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Handle pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation

• Develop and execute litigation strategies based on client objectives and applicable law

• Represent clients in State and Federal Court proceedings

• Draft motions, briefs, discovery documents, settlement agreements, and other legal filings

• Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff

• Maintain consistent client communication and provide strategic guidance throughout the litigation process

• Manage case deadlines and ensure matters progress efficiently and effectively

Qualifications

• Active New York Bar admission, in good standing, New Jersey Bar admission a plus

• 4+ years of litigation experience, including State and Federal Court matters

• Minimum 1 year of employment law experience

• Ability to independently manage cases through all stages of litigation

• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills

• Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills
