Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: CVICU\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 11/02/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Nov 2, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring cardiac ICU experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and Epic proficiency.Details\n \n Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting in a teaching hospital\n Estimated patient ratios of 1:1-2\n Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM), 36 hours per week\n Weekday and weekend shifts required, up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule\n Rotating holiday coverage required\n Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity\n Requirements\n \n Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration\n Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred\n BLS and ACLS certification required, NIHSS certification also required\n Epic EMR experience required\n Teaching hospital experience preferred\n Skills required include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring, conscious sedation, balloon pump management, and PA line management\n Additional cardiovascular skills include CABG, TAVR, IABP, Impella, VAD, and post-cardiac surgery care\n Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, and dysrhythmia management required\n Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager or director-level supervisor; coworker references not accepted\n Previous travel nurse experience preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Provide advanced critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery and cardiac interventions\n Support nurse-driven protocols including ECMO management where applicable\n Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate\n Former employees eligible to apply for travel assignments after 6 months away from the facility\n Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are not eligible for travel positions\n Required time off (RTO) must be submitted and built into the contract prior to starting, limited to 7 days or less\n Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-743890.
