Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 30-bed Stroke and Uro surgical nursing unit within a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with a scheduled shift of 06:45-19:15
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both must be AHA
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while assessing and communicating patient condition
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
• Requires strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
