Xray Technician

Atlantic Partners Staffing’s client, a leading hospital in Paramus, NJ, is seeking a CT/X-Ray Technician Contractor to support diagnostic imaging operations. This position is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and computed tomography procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and established patient care standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while ensuring patient safety and image quality.

The CT/X-Ray Technician will operate radiographic and CT imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients for procedures, reviewing physician orders for accuracy, explaining procedures to patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process. The technician will follow radiation safety standards and infection control protocols while maintaining accurate documentation and imaging records within hospital systems.

Additional responsibilities include performing routine equipment checks, reporting equipment malfunctions, assisting radiologists and physicians during imaging procedures as needed, and collaborating with nursing and clinical staff to coordinate patient care. The technician will maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards while delivering high-quality imaging services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualified candidates must have graduated from an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology and possess current ARRT certification. A current New Jersey license as a Registered Radiological Technologist is required. American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED certification is also required. Candidates must have one to two years of experience in Radiologic Technology, including at least one year of CT experience. Advanced registry in CT is preferred.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays based on departmental needs may be required.

Hourly on-going contract.
