About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 06:30-17:00 Experience: 2+ years License: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri) Certifications: BLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2 years Level 1 or 2 Trauma Experience Scrub and OR Circulator experience Interventional Vascular experience (at least 1 year) Competent in conscious sedation Description: The role involves performing direct patient care activities for all age groups. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The RN will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. The RN will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintaining professional accountability for the provision of patient care is essential. The RN will evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinating patient care in conjunction with other departments is a key responsibility. The RN must maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. The position requires standing and walking most of the time while on duty. The RN will lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Work is usually conducted in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical demands may include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs. The RN may need to kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally during the performance of duties. Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Clinical expertise in the area of responsibility is essential. Functions must align with established guidelines of nursing practice and professional standards. The RN is expected to work with a team of nurses and surgical techs in various cases. The position emphasizes high-quality care and patient satisfaction. Collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare professionals is necessary.
