Start Date: October 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Highlights:

• High-volume birthing center managing 400-600 births per month (average 20 births per 24 hours)
• Fast-paced Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with 2:1 patient ratios and double labor assignments as a daily occurrence
• Comprehensive obstetrical care including high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, triage, and circulating for scheduled/unscheduled cesarean births
• 24-hour orientation with Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract duration flexible from 13+ weeks through February 2027
• Float requirement to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed; no call requirement

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience; must have prior experience in facilities delivering over 300 births per month
• North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM), and NRP
• Proven competency in circulating for cesarean sections, sterile vaginal exams, immediate newborn care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with high-risk obstetrical patients, triage, infant/neonatal arrest, OCT (Oxytocin Challenge Tests), and isolation precautions
• Epic charting system experience required
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
