Job Description - CTS Cardiology Associate/Congenital Cardiac Sonographer/Pediatric Cardiology Sonographer (2602929) CTS Cardiology Associate/Congenital Cardiac Sonographer/Pediatric Cardiology Sonographer Position Summary: At Stony Brook Medicine, a TH CTS Pediatric Cardiology Associate is a valuable member of our team who provides clinic services to our patient population. Duties of a TH CTS Pediatric Cardiology Associate may include, but are not limited to, the following: Under the general supervision of the Technical Director of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory, the TH CTS Pediatric Cardiology Associate will perform and assist in the performance of a variety of echocardiographic procedures on fetuses, infants, children and adult patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Obtain images using standard 2D, color flow, Doppler and m-mode techniques according to the pediatric and fetal echocardiogram protocols adopted by the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. Enter charges for exams performed. Enter patient data/measurements into report worksheets. Act as a clinical resource and preceptor for new staff and students. Provide coverage as needed to satellite clinic locations. Qualifications Required: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound school program. One year experience in cardiac ultrasound. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible. Preferred: At least one year of experience in pediatric and fetal echocardiography. Experience in obstetric ultrasound. Experience with deformation imaging. Registered in Pediatric Echocardiography. Registered in Fetal Echocardiography. Anticipated Pay Range: The salary range for this position is listed below. This range reflects Stony Brook University Hospital’s good faith and reasonable estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting.
