RF Hardware Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a global high-frequency trading leader that is building proprietary wireless hardware entirely from scratch. As they continue investing heavily in next-generation wireless infrastructure, they are seeking an experienced RF Hardware Engineer to help establish and expand their internal RF capability. Key Responsibilities RF Hardware Development: Design, develop, test, and optimise high-performance RF hardware systems supporting their wireless communications infrastructure. Technology Evaluation and Benchmarking: Assess and benchmark emerging RF technologies, components, and vendor solutions to identify opportunities for performance improvement and competitive advantage. Hands-On Laboratory Engineering: Conduct RF measurements, troubleshooting, validation, and performance characterisation using advanced laboratory equipment and methodologies. Capability Building: Help establish and expand the firm's internal RF engineering capabilities, contributing to technical direction, best practices, and long-term hardware strategy. Required Skills & Experience Deep RF Hardware Expertise: 15-20+ years of RF circuit design experience, with a proven track record developing high-performance RF hardware systems. Strong laboratory-based engineering experience, including RF testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation. Wireless Communications Knowledge: Experience working within advanced wireless communications, RF infrastructure, microwave, telecommunications, aerospace, defence, or related technology environments. Passion for Hardware Development: A genuine enthusiasm for building, testing, and improving physical hardware systems, with a desire to remain close to the technology.
