Express is now hiring for a CNC Burn Table Operator Worker at a metal fabrication company based out of Tumwater, WA. This is an evaluation to permanent opportunity. The schedule will be Monday to Friday from 7AM to 3:30PM. The compensation for this position will start at $20.00/hr.

 

Job Duties:

• Operate CNC burn tables (plasma, laser, or oxy-fuel) to cut metal plates and sheets
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
• Load raw materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) onto the table using forklifts or cranes
• Set up machine parameters (speed, temperature, gas flow, cut paths) based on material type and thickness
• Monitor cutting process to ensure accuracy and quality
• Inspect finished parts for proper dimensions and quality standards
• Remove slag and clean finished parts as needed
• Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule and within company standards.

 

Job Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience operating CNC burn tables, plasma cutters, or similar machinery
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Forklift or overhead crane experience
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment (heat, noise, fumes)
• Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule and within company standards.
• Pass criminal background check and drug screen
• 2 years production experience required
