We are guided by our belief that we do our best work when we work as One Team.About this RoleThe Warehouse Shipper/Receiver position is an important role on the Silgan Dispensing team and is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. Our plant helps produce thousands of our dispensing products each day. So, it's important to keep it running efficiently and continuously. Here's a list of duties that our Warehouse Shipper/Receiver performs on a typical day:Physically count parts/components to monitor and maintain inventory recordsFollow established material handling procedure across various inventory locationsCommunicate with commercial carriers and customersOperate forklift and/or hand truck to move palletsEnter data into SAP computer system in a timely and accurate mannerOther duties as assignedQualified Candidates must have:Knowledge of international shipping documentationHands-on experienceDetail orientedMin of High school diploma or GED requiredExperience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Preferred Candidates will have:Willingness to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs.Ability to work independently and be proactive.Ability to analyze, interpret and report data.Ability to prioritize work is essential.Fedex International shipping experienceGood oral and written communication skillsExperience in SAPPhysical Demands (Reasonable accommodations provided):Ability to lift and/or move 35 lbs.Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor.Physical requirements include but not limited to sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.Benefits:Those who join our team will have access to a competitive benefits package that includes options for medical, dental, vision, 401(K), paid vacation time, paid holidays, overtime eligibility for hourly employees and much more!
