Report findings to the Director.Monitor absenteeism to ensure that an adequate number of nursing care personnel are on duty at all times. Report problem areas to the Director.Report medication errors to the Director.Provide nursing care as necessary.Ensure that direct nursing care be provided by a licensed nurse, a certified nursing assistant, and/or a nurse aide trainee qualified to perform the procedure.Review nurses' notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided, that they reflect the resident's response to the care, and that such care is provided in accordance with the resident's wishes.Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and to determine if nursing needs are being met.Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.QualificationsEducationMust possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree, RN, from an accredited college or university.ExperienceMust have, as a minimum, two years of experience as a supervisor in a SNF setting, hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility, as an ADON or DONMust have, as a minimum, two years of leadership/management backgroundMust be a registered nurse (RN) licensed to work and practice in the State of ColoradoSpecific RequirementsMust possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general publicMust be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
