Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Experience or strong interest working in a K-12 school setting
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and best practices
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and organization skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations to determine students’ needs for physical therapy services
• Create and execute tailored treatment plans to promote student mobility and independence
• Work closely with educators, support staff, and families, providing guidance on accommodations and classroom modifications
• Document student progress and maintain timely, accurate records in compliance with school requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional recommendations to help shape educational plans
• Adapt therapy interventions to fit the classroom environment and each student's unique abilities
