The TL;DR Role: Internship Type: Part-time Location: In-person Springfield, MO, Fayetteville, AR Mission: Assist with tax preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping to provide practical client service and ensure compliance. Tech Stack: Spreadsheets, various accounting and tax software What You’ll Actually Do Tax Preparation: Assist with preparing individual and business tax returns by gathering and organizing financial information. Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Gain hands‑on experience with bookkeeping tasks, data entry, account reconciliations, and financial documentation. Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax documents and clarify financial information. Tax Compliance: Learn tax compliance requirements and understand how accounting information integrates into tax preparation. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate tax records and supporting documentation while applying classroom knowledge to client work. The Must-Haves Background: Currently enrolled in college at the Junior or Senior level, preferably pursuing Accounting or a related degree. Entry-Level. Experience: No previous professional experience required. Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial statements; strong attention to detail and organization; effective communication; ability to handle confidential financial information professionally; comfort with spreadsheets and technology.
