Property Controller
Century Group
Our client, located in Burbank, is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. This role is on-site and only local applicants will be considered. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $45 to $48 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all accounting functions related to commercial real estate properties
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
- Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
- Prepare common area maintenance (CAM reconciliations) and real estate tax reconciliations
- Monitor daily cash balances, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements/reporting packages
- Perform a wide variety of accounting analyses
- Analyze various transactions and identify appropriate accounting treatment
- Assist with the preparation of annual operating budgets
- Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned
- 4+ years property accounting in commercial real estate sector
- Experience with MRI, Yardi Voyager, or other real estate accounting software is a plus
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
