Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Clinical Research Associate to support clinical research and laboratory operations in a fast-paced scientific environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in life sciences, clinical research, laboratory operations, or a related field and will be responsible for supporting clinical study activities, sample management, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.

This is a full-time, onsite temporary position in Waltham, MA. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical research, laboratory, quality, and project teams to ensure study activities and laboratory processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established protocols and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day clinical research activities and study operations according to established protocols, procedures, and quality standards.

• Receive, process, track, and maintain clinical research samples while ensuring accuracy, traceability, and proper documentation.

• Review and maintain study-related documentation, records, and data in accordance with applicable procedures and quality requirements.

• Coordinate with laboratory, clinical research, project management, and other cross-functional teams to support study timelines and deliverables.

• Assist with sample reconciliation, tracking, data entry, and resolution of sample or documentation discrepancies.

• Identify and escalate technical, sample-related, or study issues to appropriate team members and assist with investigations and resolution.

• Follow established laboratory methods, procedures, SOPs, and safety requirements.

• Support data review and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical research information.

• Maintain organized records and databases related to clinical studies, samples, and laboratory activities.

• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders and provide responsive support throughout study activities.

• Assist with preparation of reports, study documentation, presentations, and other project materials.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory/work environment.

• Support equipment operation and coordinate with laboratory personnel or vendors when equipment-related issues arise.

• Manage multiple priorities while meeting project deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

• Perform additional research, laboratory, and project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, Chemistry, Biotechnology , or a related field.

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in clinical research, laboratory operations, pharmaceutical/biotechnology research, healthcare, or a related scientific environment.

• Experience handling, processing, tracking, or documenting biological or clinical samples is strongly preferred.

• Experience working with SOPs, established protocols, quality systems, or regulated environments is preferred.

• Experience with clinical research documentation, sample management, laboratory information systems, or research databases is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical research or pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience.

• Experience with clinical sample management or biobanking.

• Knowledge of GCP, GLP, GMP, or other regulated research environments .

• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or electronic data systems.

• Experience with sample tracking, reconciliation, data review, or clinical study documentation.

• Experience working with cross-functional research or clinical teams.

Work Environment

• Full-time, onsite position in Waltham, MA .

• Temporary/contract assignment.

• Fast-paced scientific and clinical research environment.

• Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• May require routine handling and processing of laboratory or clinical research samples.

Compensation

$32.00-$33.75 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
