Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Under the direction of the director/ charge nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care, performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Demonstrates clinical care that is safe, best outcome practice with all Core Measures compliant. Documents care provision per departmental standards. Demonstrates compliance with all HCAHPS behaviors to allow patients and families to have an excellent hospital experience. Completes assigned work as scheduled in allotted time frame. Engages in departmental/hospital committees, PI projects, and educational offerings to peers, mentoring/precepting of new team members. Attends Staff Meetings, completes all required competencies and mandatory education as assigned. Seeks training, educational, certification and enhancement in area focus/specialty. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrates behavior standards that enhance positive interactions with physicians, peers, patients and family members Qualifications Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Licensure & Certifications Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification NIH Stroke Scale Certification - complete prior to completion of orientation Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
