This full-time position for an ICU Clinical Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) entails working 36 hours per week on our ICU Unit . The role includes comprehensive benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. This position encompasses both clinical and managerial responsibilities, providing direct and indirect patient care, overseeing disciplinary actions, and participating in staff hiring and termination processes. Effective communication with physicians, the Nurse Manager, and colleagues regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions, including diagnostic results and symptoms, is essential. The ability to respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or treatment responses is crucial.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Develops a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and assesses its effectiveness, involving family members as appropriate.
• Demonstrates competence in caring for patients within the specialty area.
• Effectively assesses and reassesses pain, employing suitable pain management techniques and educating patients and families on pain management.
• Adjusts the care plan as necessary based on the patient's response to treatment and evaluates the overall plan daily for effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of Nevada.
• A minimum of three years of nursing experience.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS as required for the department.
• Preferred specialty certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, or enrollment in an accredited program within one year of employment or transition into the supervisory role.
