Requirements
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the applicable state
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including hygiene procedures, patient assessments, and accurate clinical documentation
- Any additional certifications or licenses required by the state to perform assigned duties
Responsibilities
- Deliver a high level of concierge-style patient care with exceptional chairside manner, fostering trust and long-term relationships
- Promote optimal oral health by identifying signs of periodontal disease and potential oral cancer concerns
- Accurately review and document patient medical histories, chief complaints, and clinical findings
- Take high-quality radiographs and intraoral images to support treatment planning and monitor progress
- Perform precise dental hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending dentist
- Respond confidently and effectively to any emergent situations during patient care
- Educate patients on at-home oral care practices and long-term oral health maintenance
