About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Dayshift with varying schedule Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience License: Active Indiana Nurse License Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only) Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of OR nurse experience - Call is required Description: This position requires an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse. Candidates will be responsible for circulating and scrubbing a variety of surgical procedures. Main cases include trauma, general, colorectal, gynecological, and orthopedic surgeries. Minor cardiovascular and neuro cases may also arise and will require on-call support. Nurses will need to be proficient in opening cases and preparing the operating room. The facility utilizes an electronic medical record system for charting. Standard Pyxis systems are used for medication management. Preferred candidates will have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. Mandatory attendance for orientation is required. All candidates must possess valid certification in BLS and ACLS. Evening and weekend shifts, including on-call duties, are necessary for this role.
