About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Chief Development Officer to lead its strategic fundraising and external engagement efforts. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for the oversight of all revenue-generating activities and for ensuring the organization's long-term sustainability. This role requires a visionary leader with a collaborative mindset, capable of driving a cohesive and strategic approach to fundraising, brand positioning, and community engagement. The VP, CDO will be accountable for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, leading a high-performing team, and strengthening donor relationships to expand philanthropic support. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred), a minimum of 10 years' progressive nonprofit fundraising experience, and a proven track record in major gifts, campaign leadership, and building comprehensive development programs. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic thinking, relationship-building, and communication skills, as well as the ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams. A passion for the mission of the organization, which is focused on ending hunger and advancing food security, is essential. The role also involves providing executive oversight of marketing, communications, and volunteer services, and ensuring that all activities are in line with the organization's goals and values. The VP, CDO will be expected to represent the organization at various events and to maintain a professional, positive, and courteous demeanor at all times.
