Job Title: LTC RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: LTC/SNF Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience with elderly patients Description: Unit Notes: Department: LTC RN Type of Facility: Nursing Home attached to a hospital. Number of Beds/Residents: 70, majority private. EMR: ECS Ratios: RN's: 1:20, LPN's: 1:20, CNA's: 1:8. Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Dementia, frail, elderly, rehabilitation. Job Duties: Charting and assessments. Charge duties and administration of medications. Clinical skills required include IVs, catheterization, ostomy care, etc. Experience or 'Must have' skills: Experience with elderly patients. Are there IVs or titratable drips? Yes. Are there tele monitors? RN's do not read strips. RN's are not required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab. DON, Charge Nurse, and House Supervisor available. Physician availability after hours: Yes. Interdisciplinary Team includes Therapy, Administration, Social Workers, Activities, Dietary, and Housekeeping. Respiratory Therapy is on-site 24/7. Pharmacy on-site with a medication dispensing system. Shifts & Scheduling: Block schedule with 8-hour shifts. 4 nurses and 7 aides during the day/pm, 2 nurses and 3-4 aides at night. Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend unless specified. Holiday Requirements: Must be available for at least half of holidays during assignment. Call or standby requirement: No on call. Floating Requirements: Yes. Dress Code: Any solid color, clean and professional. Unit/Department Specific Orientation: Varies based on skills. All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility. Cancellation Policy: Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks. Charting System: Other Computerized System(s) not listed. BSN Required: False. Trauma Level: Not specified. Care Setting: Post Acute. Division: Nursing. Shift Notes: 12-hour days; every other weekend and holiday.
