Trailer Mechanic

Trailer MechanicPerforms mechanical functions in the manufacture and repair of the tube trailers, ISO skids trailers, tanks and trucks.Job Responsibilities:Perform some welding on mild steelPerform repair and modification on all styles of trailers as assignedPerformed repairs on trailer suspensions including heavy duty brakes, drums, cams, slack adjusters, chambers, air valves, etc.Maintain allocated time frame on all repairs and modifications.Contribute to work assignment from acquired experience and knowledgeDiagnose and make recommendations on trailer repairs as requiredLooking for a strong team player with a great attitudePerform other duties as assignedKnowledge of ABS and roll stability systems / repairs and installationsAbility to move trailers in and out of the shop and around the yard with yard truckAbility to perform DOT InspectionsRequirements:High School Diploma or GED Required3+ years experience as trailer mechanic preferredHighly organized; ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workGood verbal, written communication skillsAbility to lift 50 lbs
