Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation; 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio; no call requirements; maximum 7 days requested time off per contract

Highlights:

• Neuro/Stroke Progressive Care Unit with mixed medical patients including respiratory and cardiac conditions
• 36-bed unit with average daily census of 30 patients; PCU-level acuity assignments
• Titration of cardiac drips required with continuous telemetry monitoring experience
• Epic EMR system, Pyxis medication management, and SBAR communication protocols
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and radiology
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state license accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Experience with cardiac drip titration, telemetry monitoring, and PCU/stepdown patient populations
• Proficiency in blood product administration, central line management, cardiac telemetry interpretation, and vasoactive drip management
• Experience with neurological and stroke patient care, including pre/post neurosurgery and traumatic brain injury
• Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, chest tube management, and tracheostomy care preferred
• Ability to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
