Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant
We are seeking an exceptional and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated Critical Care team. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and families during some of their most vulnerable moments while practicing alongside a collaborative and highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Centra Medical Group (CMG) is a network of nearly 600 employed providers serving a community of over 600,000 across Central and Southern Virginia. Our footprint spans Lynchburg, Danville, Farmville, Moneta, and Bedford, offering a wide range of primary and specialty care services. CMG also supports the Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency, with academic affiliations including UVA, VCU, VCOM, and Liberty University.

You Can Expect
13 shifts per month with opportunities to pick up additional shifts
Collaborative, team-based practice environment
Equal share of weekend and holiday coverage
Combination of day and night shifts
Opportunity to work closely with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
What You'll Do
Round on critically ill patients in the ICU
Perform admissions and consultations
Manage medications and treatment plans
Perform procedures including:
- Central line placement
- Arterial line placement
- Intubation
- Chest tube placement
- Thoracentesis
- Lumbar puncture
- Bronchoscopy
- Paracentesis

Qualifications
Required Education: Masters Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant School Required Certifications and Licensures: Current licensure by the State of Virginia as a Physician Assistant ACLS (required only for LFM)
