Intermediate Accountant

Responsibilities Responsible for planning, organizing, and executing professional-level accounting tasks in connection with the maintenance and monitoring of financial operations. Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and other various accounting statements and reports. Performs month-end closing activities and reconciliations in accounting software. Analyzes financial reports and records, while conducting studies and making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures. Maintains accounting integrity and financial security by following internal controls. Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. Conducts specialized studies and develops or recommends improved accounting methods and procedures. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. Requirements Knowledge and application of full-cycle accounting principles, concepts, practices, and procedures. Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. Strong analytical ability requiring evaluation, originality and ingenuity. Ability to learn industry related management systems. Ability to prioritize, work independently, and complete tasks within deadlines. Sound time management and organizational skills. Ability to exercise tact and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency in applicable software programs including Microsoft Office. Bachelor's Degree degree in accounting or finance is required.
