Location: Sitka, AK
Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Floating Across Inpatient Units as Needed

Additional Compensation

• $25,000 Sign-On Bonus
• $10,000 Relocation Assistance

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Acute Care RN– Med/Surg (Acute Care) for an exciting opportunity in Sitka, AK.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments across adult, pediatric, orthopedic, and mother/baby med-surg populations
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and hospital policy
• Monitor patient conditions and escalate care when appropriate
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and discharge planning
• Deliver culturally competent, patient-centered nursing care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EHR
• Follow infection control, medication safety, and regulatory standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education activities
• Float to other inpatient units as needed

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current unrestricted Alaska RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• PALS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage fluctuating patient acuity in inpatient settings
• Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records
• Strong prioritization, organization, and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Med-Surg experience preferred
• Experience with adult, pediatric, orthopedic, or mother/baby patient populations preferred
