Responsibilities
- Deliver strength-based, solution-focused therapeutic services to clients in community settings.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each client’s strengths, diagnosis, treatment goals, and treatment plan.
- Conduct assessments of clients’ strengths, resources, and goals within the first 30 days of treatment and provide ongoing strength-based planning and treatment.
- Create and maintain Individualized Crisis Recovery Plans for clients within 30 days to reduce risk and promote stability.
- Participate in collaborative meetings with agency staff, external agencies, and community supports as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention services in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Communicate regularly regarding client status, including changes in mood, functioning, medical issues, and crisis situations.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation for all client interactions, including documenting “no shows” and communication challenges.
- Utilize computer systems for documentation and billing purposes as required.
- Attend required office trainings and participate in regular clinical supervision sessions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in agency evaluations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, or a Master of Arts, Science, or Education in a mental health-related field (with at least 70% of coursework in core mental health disciplines).
- Credentialed as a Mental Health Therapist by the Department of Mental Health (DMH).
- Minimum of 15 hours of graduate-level coursework and/or practicum experience in applied intervention strategies/methods for behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders.
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to learn and utilize computer-based documentation systems.
