Performs the 8-step cleaning procedures, including daily cleaning, discharge cleaning, bed making, wall spotting, toilet cleaning, high and low dusting, and O.R. terminal cleaning. Works in a professional and safe manner at all times. Always uses caution signs and cones. Completes work from the previous shift as needed and reports any incomplete assignments and maintenance issues. Cleans up organic body waste (e.g., blood and body fluids, feces, sputum) as instructed by the supervisor or team leader. Hangs cubicle curtains, shower curtains, and window curtains. Performs discharge cleaning, including disinfecting and/or sanitizing IV poles, pumps, and other patient equipment.
