Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures. The location for this role is in Bradenton, FL. Position Summary The Newborn Hearing Screener performs hearing screenings for newborns at various hospital locations. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective strategies to maximize accurate test results and provide excellent patient care. Location : Brandon, FL Shift : Days; Casual/On Call Key Accountabilities Performs hearing screenings in assigned locations, following established protocols and procedures Follows test protocols to ensure minimum age, patient test state, and stable criteria are met before screening Uses appropriate test techniques for preparation and proper electrode placement to ensure accurate results Communicates the newborn hearing screening process and results to parents and provides appropriate educational materials Accurately submits billing paperwork within the same working day of hearing screening Identifies all new births and enters patient demographic data into the screening equipment Performs proper hand hygiene and follows established equipment cleaning protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment Demonstrates service excellence and provides a safe environment for patient care Requirements High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion, or equivalent achievement Current BLS certification Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Entry level is encouraged to apply What We Offer Competitive hourly rate Opportunities for professional growth and development Flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs Recognition and reward for outstanding performance Flat Rate: $22.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
