Wesley Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Paramedic ED to provide patient care and support within the emergency department. Responsibilities Establish IV access as delegated by a RN. Provide assistance with patient care, transportation of patients, specimens and supplies; cleaning and stocking the department, patient rooms, transport ambulance; other duties as assigned. Perform intra‑facility transport. Perform assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. Support nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assist with maintaining a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment. Answer telephone and intercom efficiently and courteously, relaying messages and calls to appropriate personnel and other departments. Maintain records, transcribe physician orders, and assure orders are carried out expeditiously. Qualifications Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Certification/licensure as a Paramedic per state requirements. High School Diploma. Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital – current clinical competency must be demonstrated and additional education/training may be required. Ability to routinely multi‑task in a busy, stressful, fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action. Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic or EMTA (Emergency Medical Technician Advanced) per state requirements.
