Hearing Technician, Day Shift, Audiology

Hearing Tech

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Hearing Tech for our Audiology Team who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Hearing Tech, you will:

• Evaluate and prioritize infants to be screened before being discharged from the hospital
• Perform automated hearing screening tests
• Document screening test results
• Utilize appropriate baby handling skills
• Recognize problems with screening equipment, troubleshoot as necessary and report any recurrent or unresolved problems
• Recognize potential problems with infant and report problems to physician
• Monitor inventory of supplies and report supply needs to program coordinator
• Maintain appropriate supply levels with screening equipment

Qualifications include:

• High School education and diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience preferred but not required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Prior experience with newborns is preferred
• Good written and verbal communication and basic computer skills

Work Schedule:

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Hours per Week: 36 hrs/week
• Typical Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Shift Type: Days
• Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay Range:

$18.40 - $23.48

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
