Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Minot, ND

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 40 hrs/week (5x8 days)

Job Description: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform Nuclear Medicine studies and prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals under the direction of the Radiologist. This role demands a keen understanding of various Nuclear Medicine procedures and a commitment to following radiation safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine studies and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
• Conduct quality control and calibration testing on cameras and radiation measuring equipment.
• Follow radiation safety techniques and policy in the receipt, use, and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Organize and manage daily workflow to ensure timely performance of exams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT or NMTCB registered or registry pending.
• NDMIRTBE licensed or temporary license required.
• Working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Graduate of Nuclear Medicine School or ARRT Registered Technologist.
• Recent travel experience preferred; Cerner experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to start IVs for contrast administration.
• Proper charging of procedures by hospital information system.
• Experience with stress tests, HIDA, Bone, and PET/CT is a plus but not required.
