Commercial Equipment Technician

Commercial Equipment Technician Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 per year. This is a full‑time permanent position. Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine solutions, consulting blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment. Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions following checklists. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices. Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams. Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve equipment‑related problems. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical maintenance, and carpentry. Proven experience as a technician with a strong understanding of commercial equipment. Comprehensive knowledge of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Proficiency in using hand and power tools, electrical testing devices, and related equipment. Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Strong understanding of electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Physical stamina and strength to lift and maneuver heavy equipment. Valid driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
