Job Description

Visa is seeking a Data Engineer to join our organization. In this role, you will help design, enhance, and build our data infrastructure and pipelines within an agile development environment. You will collaborate with colleagues who will support and challenge you daily, contributing to the development of innovative data solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines.
• Ensure that data and data services are highly available, secure, and reliable.
• Apply your data engineering skills with Spark and Python to build and maintain data pipelines.
• Analyze business requirements to design data solutions.
• Follow software best practices.
• Work as a team and individually to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and build solutions.
• Collaborate with other teams to provide services.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications
2 or more years of work experience

Experience with Python development

Exposure to Apache Spark

Exposure to Apache Kafka

The estimated salary range for this positionis $98,400.00 to $ 152,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
