Dental Assistant – Federal Correctional Complex

Location: Bruceton Mills, West Virginia
Facility: FCC Hazelton – Federal Bureau of Prisons
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Hours: 40 hours per week | 8- or 10-hour shifts
Typical Hours: Between 6:00 AM–6:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking Certified Dental Assistants to provide dental services to patients at FCC Hazelton in Bruceton Mills, WV. Dental Assistants will work alongside dental providers within the institution's Health Services departments.

What You'll Do

Assist dentists with routine and specialty dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, medications, and materials
Assist with restorative dentistry, oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthetics
Take and process dental X-rays
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
Prepare impressions and dental materials
Maintain infection-control and safety standards
Document patient care in the electronic medical record
Maintain dental supplies and treatment areas
Provide general clinical and administrative support

Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

6+ months of relevant dental assisting experience , OR
Completion of a 1-year CODA-accredited Dental Assistant program , OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
