Job Title: Infusion Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Infusion Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required, preferred 1-2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy certification required Must-Have: Chemotherapy certification required for this position 2+ years of experience for first-timers accepted Description: The role involves providing infusion therapy to patients. 70% of the work involves oncology-based therapy, while 30% consists of blood transfusions, IVIG, hydration, and iron infusions. Candidates accepted with a chemotherapy certification and 2+ years of experience. The patient ratios are typically 1:4. Floating between like units is required. The facility provides interdisciplinary support, including social services and pharmacy. Daily census is approximately 85 patients. The team is responsible for handling various patient diagnoses, including all infusions. The role demands adherence to specific chemotherapy administration protocols. Strict safety precautions, including isolation practices and handling of cytotoxic agents, are critical. The candidate will administer chemotherapy and monitor for any side effects. Local radius restrictions apply, and travelers must comply with certain policies regarding floating and equipment use. All travelers are expected to operate effectively within a given state. References are required covering recent professional experience prior to the start of the position. Travelers must communicate any background or license issues at the time of submission.
