Lead with experience. Inspire excellence. Shape the future of pediatric rehabilitation. Vanderbilt Health is seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist to serve as Assistant Manager (Clinical Team Leader) for our Pediatric Outpatient Rehabilitation team.

Team: 3 OT Clinical Coordinators, 13 Full-Time OTs, 2 PRN OTs, 2 Rehab Techs

Role Allocation: 60% Clinical | 40% Leadership This leadership role is ideal for an experienced clinician who is passionate about developing others, strengthening teams, and fostering a culture where therapists thrive. You'll help lead a talented pediatric occupational therapy team while supporting clinical excellence, professional growth, and service advancement. As Assistant Manager, you'll balance direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, making a meaningful impact on both the clinicians you support and the children and families they serve.

About the Pediatric Outpatient Rehabilitation Team The Pediatric Outpatient Rehabilitation team provides family-centered care for children with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, genetic, and complex medical conditions. Occupational Therapists collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, psychologists, social workers, educators, and families to help children maximize function, independence, and participation in daily life.

What You'll Do As the Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant Manager, you will serve as a clinical and operational leader while maintaining high standards of patient care and team performance. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct pediatric outpatient occupational therapy services
• Lead, mentor, and support staff and PRN Occupational Therapists
• Foster professional growth and clinical excellence
• Support onboarding and competency development
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide meaningful feedback
• Partner with leadership on staffing and operational priorities
• Support quality improvement and program development initiatives
• Help drive exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (or eligible for Tennessee licensure)
• Significant Pediatric Outpatient Occupational Therapy experience
• Demonstrated success in a formal or informal leadership role
• Passion for mentoring, teaching, and developing clinicians
• Strong coaching, relationship-building, and communication skills
• Ability to develop and engage team members across varying levels of experience
• Commitment to family-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Strong clinical, organizational, and operational decision-making skills
