Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU travel assignment requiring a minimum of 2.5 years of strong ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Medical ICU (MICU) unit within a large academic hospital setting (500+ beds)
• High-acuity patient population with complex medical diagnoses including end-stage renal disease (ESRD), end-stage liver disease (ESLD), multisystem organ failure (MSOF), ARDS, DIC, sepsis, CHF, lung transplant, critically ill antepartum/postpartum patients, and critically ill oncology patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2
• Rotating 12-hour shifts (7A/7P)
• 36 hours per week
• 3 out of every 6 weekends required per 6-week schedule
• Float as needed to areas of like skill set
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage required on an every-other basis
• Charting performed in Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2.5 years of strong ICU experience required
• At least one prior travel contract in a MICU at a facility with 500+ beds required
• Prior experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Critical Care Certification (e.g., CCRN) preferred
• Trauma course completion preferred
• Current Surgical ICU experience of at least 2 years preferred
• At least 2 previous travel assignments preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• Holidays are covered on an every-other basis as needed
