Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Junior Accountant. The ideal candidate helps support the team with the pending bank reconciliations while we implement the new procedures and allow additional time for training.
Job Description
- Perform bank reconciliations, including reconciliations for zero-balance accounts.
- Assist the finance team with pending bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and process manual journal entries and review system-generated journal entries as needed.
- Utilize PeopleSoft ERP and automated accounting systems to support accounting and reconciliation activities.
- Support the team during the implementation of new accounting procedures while allowing additional time for training.
- Use Excel to analyze financial data and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of general and management accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with automated accounting systems, Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), reconciliations, and budgeting.
- Hands-on experience with the PeopleSoft ERP system.
- Experience performing bank reconciliations for zero-balance accounts.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and work with financial data.
- Experience with manual journal entries, reviewing system-generated journal entries, and using PeopleSoft queries would be preferred
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
Additional Requirements
- Shift Time 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate
- $37- $44 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
