Position Overview

A university in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to support and strengthen its recruiting and hiring efforts.

This individual will partner closely with Human Resources, university leadership, and hiring managers to manage recruitment needs, improve hiring processes, source qualified candidates, and help ensure a positive experience for candidates and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Talent Acquisition professional who can balance recruitment strategy with day-to-day execution and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support full-cycle recruitment for a variety of university positions.
• Partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to understand current and upcoming staffing needs.
• Develop effective sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates.
• Source, screen, interview, and assess candidates for open positions.
• Guide hiring managers through the recruitment and selection process.
• Assist with developing and refining job descriptions and job postings.
• Manage candidate activity and recruitment documentation within the university's applicant tracking system.
• Help ensure recruiting practices follow university policies and applicable employment requirements.
• Maintain strong communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Build talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
• Track recruiting activity, time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, and other key recruitment metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and hiring manager experience.
• Support onboarding and pre-employment activities as needed.
• Collaborate with other HR team members on recruitment initiatives and special projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
• Approximately 5+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition, recruiting, or Human Resources experience preferred.
• Previous experience leading or managing recruitment initiatives.
• Experience recruiting for multiple positions simultaneously.
• Strong sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or HRIS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with HR leadership and hiring managers.
• Higher education, university, public-sector, or complex organizational recruiting experience is a plus but not necessarily required.

Contract Details

This position is expected to begin as a six-month contract with compensation up to $38,000 for the six-month engagement . There is a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent position following the contract period based on organizational needs and performance.
