Registered Nurse (RN) Med-Surg / Acute Care

Location: Colorado Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (Weekend Rotation Required) Contract Position

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a growing Acute Care/Med-Surg team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, post-surgical patients, and telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med-Surg, Acute Care, and Telemetry patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Float to Intermediate Care/CCU as needed within scope and competency

Requirements

• Active Colorado RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Acute Care, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or similar RN experience
• Minimum 3 years of RN Med-Surg experience preferred
• Current BLS Certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and participate in call rotation

Additional Information

• Must be willing to take 1 call shift per 2-week period if requested due to staffing needs
• Flu Vaccine required (during flu season; no exemptions accepted)
