Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand patients’ unique situations and leverage evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Engage with patients empathetically while integrating harm-reduction approaches into treatment, recognizing that some clients may opt for moderation over abstinence.
\n
• Facilitate secure and meaningful conversations through telehealth platforms, ensuring a safe space for clients to express their challenges and strategies for improvement.
\n
• Encourage clients' use of complementary community support networks like AA, Smart Recovery, and Moderation Management, enhancing their recovery journey.
\n
• Empower patients by providing resources and educational materials tailored to their needs, ensuring a holistic approach to their well-being.
\n
• Maintain case documentation and fulfill professional development requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Collaborate with the Content Manager to develop “Expert Insights” and lead optional support groups to further enrich our community offerings.

• Participate in monthly peer group meetings to foster professional growth and share best practices with fellow clinicians.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Cygnus Behavioral Health Services, you will primarily care for individuals facing challenges related to alcohol use as well as concurrent mental health concerns. Qualifications\n

• Current licensure as LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
