Janitoral Worker -2nd And 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, patient/resident rooms, dorms, classrooms, schools, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas, and other areas requiring attention.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, polish floors, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office spaces.
• Perform hard-surface floor scrubbing, stripping, and refinishing, as well as carpet spotting and extraction using mechanical equipment.
• Participate in the maintenance of wood floors, including cleaning, screening, stripping, sanding, and refinishing.
• Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, and window coverings.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly and safely according to manufacturer and company standards.
• Empty trash and garbage containers.
• Handle supplies and materials.
• Change sheets and replenish linens.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Drive golf carts or other vehicles.
• Move furniture and set up tables and chairs.
• Notify supervisor of any maintenance repairs or additions needed.
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
• Apply all applicable OSHA and local safety requirements to assigned work.

• Experience in cleaning and janitorial roles.
• Knowledge of safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to perform hard-surface floor and carpet maintenance.

• Experience as a waitress, server, bartender, home health aide, janitor, or custodian.

Work Environment

Work during the 3rd shift from 3pm to 11:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays in a hospital setting. Uniform includes black pants (excluding denim, sweatpants, yoga pants, or spandex), black slip-resistant shoes, and black socks. Hair must be of a natural color. A uniform shirt is provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lancaster, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.19 - $18.19/hr.
