We've created a new Inventory Accountant position on our plant accounting team, working directly with our Plant Controller and Senior Cost Accountant, and out on the production floor with the people who make our products. About Us DynaEnergetics manufactures perforating systems for the oil and gas industry from our manufacturing facilities in Blum, TX - including CNC-machined steel components, complex engineered assemblies, and explosive products, produced with extensive automation and custom-designed equipment. We run SAP S/4HANA Cloud on a standard cost, FIFO inventory system. The Role As our Inventory Accountant, you'll be the hands-on owner of day-to-day inventory accuracy at our facility. You'll spend real time on the production floor and in the warehouse - not just in the office - working with operations teams, running physical counts, and digging into variances. This is a newly created role and a great launching pad for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in manufacturing and cost accounting. What you'll do: Assist with day-to-day inventory accounting and month-end close support Work directly with production, warehouse, and shipping/receiving teams to reinforce proper inventory processes and procedures Plan and perform regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts Analyze inventory variances and trends, and help identify root causes Help validate material transactions and BOM/routing data in SAP S/4HANA Support the annual physical inventory and external audit inventory observation Help train operations personnel on proper inventory transaction procedures What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent coursework/experience) 0-3 years of accounting experience - new grads welcome; manufacturing or inventory experience a plus, not required Comfort spending regular time on the plant floor and in the warehouse Strong attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy A clear communicator who works well with non-accounting teammates A self-starter who's eager to learn and take ownership Location: Blum, TX (south of Cleburn) - primarily on-site, with limited hybrid flexibility (~10-15%, depending on the time of year) Travel Occasional - approximately 3-4 trips per year to other company locations Benefits The company offers a full suite of benefits including full health benefits, 401k, PTO, holidays, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr DynaEnergetics
