Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:


Provide specialized emergency nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring rapid assessment and intervention for diverse patient needs. Collaborate with medical teams to deliver high-quality, efficient care that meets clinical standards and patient expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival to the emergency department.
• Administer medications, initiate IVs, and perform blood draws with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and utilize advanced equipment such as bedside monitors and EKG machines.
• Support resuscitation efforts, including intubation, restraint application, and moderate sedation.
• Document patient care accurately within the Meditech EMR system and communicate effectively with team members.
• Assist with behavioral health patient care and support trauma and stroke protocols as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of emergency department experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in emergency procedures such as IV initiation and patient resuscitation.
• Flexible team player willing to work in various unit areas, including triage and resuscitation rooms.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and weekends, with a commitment to patient safety and team collaboration.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
