Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a busy invasive cardiology unit requiring 2+ years of experience and EPIC charting proficiency.
Details
- Work in an Invasive Cardiology unit with 4 dedicated Cath Labs, 3 dedicated EP labs, and 2 shared cath/EP labs with 33 prep/recovery bays
- Unit completes over 6,000 procedures annually including complex coronary procedures, VAD/ECMO, structural heart procedures (TAVR, LAA occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping), complex atrial and ventricular ablations, pacemaker/ICD implants, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, and peripheral intervention
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekends, call, or holidays required
- Must be available to stay until the last patient is cared for
- Floating as needed
- EPIC experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certification (License required if applicable)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Experience with fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Experience with electrophysiology studies including arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
- Proficient in sterile technique and maintaining a sterile field
- Able to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriately
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, equipment setup, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
- May involve caring for COVID-positive patients
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- Maximum RTO of 7 days
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Local candidates accepted
