About the Role

The Company is in search of an Assistant or Associate General Counsel to join its General Counsel and Compliance Department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical Trials Office and scientific shared resources to support the company's research mission and advance scientific innovation. This role involves reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of contracts, including research-related agreements, production and manufacturing agreements, and technology transfer agreements. The Assistant/Associate General Counsel will also be responsible for providing legal support in other areas as needed, such as regulatory guidance and contract interpretation, and will interface with management across various departments to ensure legal compliance and minimize risk. Applicants must have a J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school, be admitted to practice law by the State of New York Bar, and have a minimum of 1 year of legal experience for the Assistant General Counsel position and 4 years for the Associate General Counsel position. The ideal candidate will have a background in relevant areas of law and experience in reviewing and negotiating the specified contract types. A strong understanding of FDA regulations, research subject protection regulations, and New York laws applicable to public entities and hospitals is essential. The role requires a proactive individual who can provide timely legal guidance to support the company's objectives and operations.
