Job Details Job Location: 907 West Marketview Drive – Champaign, IL 61822. Salary Range: $18.00 – $27.40 Hourly. All managers, regardless of position, share responsibility for and are accountable to the World Wide Wings Manager Description as well as the specific duties described below. Department Manager Responsibilities Heart of House (HOH) Department Manager Primary responsibility for the HOH area, managing all food/product matters within the HOH area. Plan and develop the HOH team, maintaining a safe environment and improving bottom-line profitability through appropriate revenue and labor management. Assist the General Manager with overseeing the operation of the entire restaurant and supervising the restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis. Facilitate new food product rollouts and ensure all team members meet or exceed serving quality standards, recipe adherence, and portioning. Communicate with food vendors and hold them accountable for delivering high-quality products on a timely basis. Use performance measurement tools such as GEM, QSCs, audits, and P&L to troubleshoot issues and develop action plans. Enter invoices, manage inventory, and perform end-of-day procedures. Monitor department equipment, report repair needs, and ensure timely completion. Maintain consistent compliance with Board of Health and food safety practices. Assist the General Manager with coaching other managers on effective performance management procedures. Provide coaching and follow up to direct reports to ensure execution of service standards and guest experience. Manage guest comment program and handle food quality complaints. Bar Department Manager Primary responsibility for the Bar Department, supervising the restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis. Manage all adult beverage matters, including ordering beer, wine, and liquor, inventory control, and Responsible Alcohol Service (RAS) compliance. Plan, hire, train, develop, and motivate bartenders and bar servers. Utilize bar cost tools and monitor bar equipment to ensure high-quality product production. Maintain proper inventory levels of all alcohol products. Understands sales and profit goals, troubleshoot problem departments, and aggressively manage waste, comps, voids, and discounts. Create, develop, and implement bar sales building incentive contests. Assist the General Manager with coaching other managers on performance management procedures. Hospitality Manager Primary responsibility for dining room service and supervision on a shift-by-shift basis. Manage hospitality team planning and development, maintaining a safe environment. Assist the General Manager with the execution of the Local Restaurant Marketing program. Develop and implement sales building incentive contests. Complete all other assigned duties or tasks. Qualifications Candidates must be highly motivated, self‑directed, and results driven with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create a fun, exciting environment for both guests and team members. Skilled with basic mathematical computations. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced work environment. Maintain confidential information and enforce company policies and compliance issues. Minimum of 2 years restaurant or retail management experience; experience managing a restaurant with a full bar is preferred. High school education or equivalent; valid driver’s license to travel between units; satisfactory background check; ability to lift 50 pounds regularly (See additional physical demands below).
