As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Fairfax, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Fri: 02:45 PM – 11:00 PM Sat: 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security‑related concerns. Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor activity, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious behavior in accordance with location protocols. Support a healthcare location by assisting with directions, de‑escalation, and orderly movement throughout the property while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal standards. Minimum Requirements Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
