Our Client is Looking an experienced Senior Specialist, Employee Relations, BlueOval Battery Park Michigan r – Manufacturing Operations to support workforce strategy, employee relations, and organizational development within a fast-paced industrial and manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in aligning HR practices with business strategy while enhancing employee experience and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders to support planning, development, and execution of HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Drive alignment of HR processes and frameworks to support a competitive and scalable manufacturing environment
  • Support the development and implementation of workforce and organizational strategies

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, complaints, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure high-quality implementation of employee engagement initiatives and surveys
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and enhance employee experience

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition, Workforce Development, HRIS, Total Rewards, and other HR functions
  • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to align HR initiatives with business needs
  • Build strong partnerships across internal stakeholders and external partners

Data-Driven HR & Continuous Improvement

  • Utilize workforce data and metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Support development of policies, training, and programs based on data insights
  • Stay informed on industry trends, labor regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement

Operations & Workforce Support

  • Support HR operations across varied and rotating shift environments
  • Assist in building scalable HR delivery models for manufacturing operations
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning, performance management, and employee development

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong HR generalist/business partner experience in complex organizations
  • Deep expertise in employee relations, performance management, and workforce development
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and sound judgment
  • Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret workforce trends
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

Professional Skills

  • Strong business acumen, including understanding of operational and financial drivers
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence and guide stakeholders across all levels

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in HR roles (employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, etc.)
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in dynamic environments
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in HR or related discipline
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working across multiple shifts or operational environments
